LinkedWords - The “Social Networking Utility” for Web Sites

Yes, I am sure you are linked in. We are also linked in. Millions of people are also linked in across the popular social networking sites. However can you say the same for your web site? Is it linked in too? Can my web site also be linked in anyway, where? There are literally thousands of different social networking sites on Web today from small verticals to the big ones where people can connect to each other. What do you think it would be if there was the like of “social networking site” aimed at and meant for web sites instead of for people? Would not it be great for your web site? Come to think of it. We, ourselves, have been thinking that way for quite long time now.

LinkedWords.com is not the new kid on the block, it’s been around for several years now and represents a major contextual platform that has already proven itself effective in maximizing contextual linking among web sites across the Web.

Can you however think of LinkedWords (LW) as “social networking site” aimed at and meant for web sites instead of for people? Well, we do. The way people connect to each other, gather together in family, friend and professional groups by interests at social networking utilities like Facebook, MySpace and LinkedIn the same thing web sites do at LinkedWords.

Here web sites get contextually linked in LW' platform on a content area level through targeted linked words to connect to each other on relevancy principles and group by context and by interests in an effort to become more visible and be found in context on web.

Networking your web site among and in competition with more than 100M web sites worldwide has never been an easy thing to do, but sites contextually linked in LW's platform are gathering together by context, relevancy and interests to stand out, share targeted communities, users, visitors and reach to potential clients all for free.

So it seems LW is the first and only “social networking site” not for people, but for web sites. In other words, LW does for web sites what LinkedWords - Contextual Platformpopular social networking sites do for people. Interesting isn’t it?

Today, 2.5 years since its launch, LW is reaching more than 1M unique visitors per month, mainly shared among the sites linked in, thankfully to and derived from more than 100,000 content areas from around the Web contextually linked in its platform through targeted linked words. LW's platform capacity has some 38M more words organized in proper contextual paths that remain yet to be contextually linked in.

You can try it out yourself for your site over here: LinkedWords.com

LinkedWords is now receiving more than 1 million unique visitors per month; keeps on growing

Launched back in the middle of 2006 LinkedWords has essentially proven over the past years to be very effective vehicle in helping web sites get contextually linked on a content area level so that Internet users and smart robots discover their information in context. Since then the contextual platform has rapidly grown from 30,000 uniques per month back in its early days during 2006 to over 1 million unique visitors per month these past months of 2008.

The successful formula seems to be simple yet very effective: the higher the number of small to mid level sites’ content areas contextually linked in LW’s platform - the higher the number of contextually targeted unique visitors shared among those web sites linked in.

Both Google Analytics and Quantcast measured traffic are now reporting for over 1,000,000 unique visitors per month.

Some interesting facts in regard to the site’s traffic and usage to note are:

1) The 400,000 unique visitors’ mark per month was surpassed for first time in April 2007;

2) For the entire 2007 LW ended up with more than 4,500,000 unique visitors to its contextual platform;

3) For the period of 12 months between Apr 2007 and Apr 2008 LW ended up with more than 7,700,000 unique visitors to its contextual platform;

4) The highest number of monthly visitors so far was encountered during the month of April 2008 when the platform had more than 1,300,000 uniques;

5) 47,564 is the highest number of daily unique visitors ever happened so far, which occurred on April 07, 2008;

This year (2008) was however not all glorious for LinkedWords. During the month of April '08 our platform has experienced an unprecedented growth in the traffic reaching over 1.3M unique visitors, which resulted in a failure on one of our servers causing major downtime. The impacted period was from Friday, April 25 to Friday, May 16, 2008. Millions of unique visitors to LW were affected for which we apologize again for any inconvenience this may have caused your contextual connections and thank you one more time for your understanding. It took us more than 4 months to completely recover both our platform and our reach.

Despite the major downtime that took place during the entire month of May ’08 and had later affected our traffic for a period of several months starting from May and ending on August ’08 considerably slowing it down the consolidated traffic for the entire 2008 is expected to be in the 10M range, which is double increase from 2007.

What does LinkedWords do after all?

LinkedWords (LW) is an innovative contextual platform built upon millions of English words and phrases organized into contextual categories, paths, and semantic URLs whose mission is to maximize contextual linking among web sites across the Web. Since its launch in June 2006 LW's concept has essentially proven to be very effective vehicle in helping web sites get contextually linked on a content area level so that Internet users and smart robots discover their information in context. Correct in-text contextual linked words (hyper links) help our platform, 3rd party sites and semantic search engines all direct relevant Internet users to the web sites contextually linked in.

1) Once your site is contextually connected with LW's platform (by hyper-linking strategic words and phrases in the texts of your site to the same words/phrases at LW within the appropriate categories and contextual paths) it helps us send you targeted traffic from what the platform's reach is - 4.5M for the entire 2007 and 5M for the first 4 months of the 2008;

2) It also helps contextually connected web sites through LW drive precisely targeted traffic among themselves by connecting content areas with the same context around Web anytime other sites link to the same words/phrases at LW from within the same or highly relevant context;

3) It guides software agents and algorithmic robots discover (your) information in context. Contextual categories, paths, semantic URLs and in-context hyper-links are format that can be read, understood and used by software agents, thus permitting them to find, classify and organize your information in context on Web;

4) It helps common users find relevant information (could be yours) on-demand, in the context of the subject they are reading around the Web, by clicking on the same contextually... linked words! Visitors coming from static in-context hyper-links inside meaningful text contextually relevant to your content are highly likely to be targeted at the highest precise level possible;

5) And the last but not the least, it is FREE for your web site to contextually connect to the LW's platform and start getting targeted traffic, today.

Ok, but how do I contextually link my site to LW's platform? After getting familiar with how it's done you can browse or search the 38,050,000+ English words-, phrases- and sentences-based pages and categories organized into contextual paths, find the strategic ones for your web site / content and get then contextually linked with. Small to mid-level web publishers looking to improve the visibility and increase the targeted traffic of their web sites can make as many as possible contextual links through LW's platform. Alternatively, practical examples of already linked words can anytime be seen below.

The last, but not the least, LW is all about contextual information therefore to assure best results make sure 1) the context of your page, in which you make your linked words, matches the contextual path to the words/phrases you make the contextual links to at LW’s platform, and 2) you link only words/phrases that grammatically belong to and are organically found within sentences inside your text and these linked words are surrounded by meaningful content otherwise no contextual connections can be created, which yields no results and is ground for deletion. Proper contextual paths/categories and in-text linked words yield better contextual results. If no words or phrases are found for your specific content, or they are not in the right contextual paths/categories, you can always create your own words and phrases in the most appropriate paths/categories to match your page’s context.

We are excited to announce that for first time since its inception in July ‘06 LinkedWords.com, the contextual platform, has surpassed the 500,000 uniques/mo mark. The last measured period taken into consideration was Sept 17-Oct 17 2007 and the number revealed was 556,000 unique visitors for that period of 30 days.

Both Google Analytics and Quantcast measured traffic are now reporting for over 500,000 unique visitors per month.

An interesting fact to note is the 400,000 unique visitors’ mark that was surpassed for first time in April 2007.

LinkedWords maximizes the contextual linking among websites through its unique platform built upon tens of millions of English words and phrases.

LinkedWords further automates contextual linking

Late last week (April 14, 2007) LinkedWords , the contextual platform where anyone can create free contextual links by linking strategic in-text words had totally redesigned its important online form and further improved the contextual linking process through its platform.

Below you can find a snapshot of the online form, which now further automates the process by dynamically…

• Checking the in-texts linked words to properly link to the same name words within LinkedWords.com's contextual platform;

• Checking out for their contextuality (surrounding sentences and phrases);

• Extracting the context;

• Creating the contextual listings and

• Inserting the contextual link within the listing's description exactly over the strategic linked words.

This significant technological improvement is believed to make the whole contextual linking process through LinkedWords.com's platform much easier and smoother allowing more small and mid-level web site get full advantage of maintaining free contextual links with LinkedWords driving this way more targeted visitors to their sites and increasing further their overall web visibility. The second graphical illustration below outlines the core benefits of why a site would be interested in making contextual links through LinkedWords.com's contextual platform.

LinkedWords.com Decided to Remain Private

Bellevue, WA, Mountain View, CA, (MARKETWIRE) - Nov.27 2006 - EXIM Internet Group Inc. (OTC: EXGN.PK), operator of B2B web properties and LinkedWords.com, a large-scale and rapidly growing contextual platform changed their strategic options announced earlier this year.

The license agreement announced in May 2006 has changed over time and under the most recent deal terms EXIM was pursuing a 20% equity stake in LinkedWords.com plus an exclusive license to operate the site in return of 70% of its stock plus $5M equally payable over the next 5 years to the owners of LinkedWords.com.

Although EXIM and LinkedWords.com generally agreed upon the terms of the proposed license/participation deal, the ratification of this deal did finally not takeplace, because the majority of the LinkedWords.com shareholders have changed their strategy and decided to remain a fully private company.

The fact that LinkedWords.com's marketing, business and financial strategies should not be subject of the stringent reporting and publicizing requirements of a public company was the reason for the decision of the LinkedWords.com owners to stay private. These strategies concern - among others - the following:

a) The web 2.0’s dynamically changing environment does require flexibility;
b) The rapid expansion models employed and widely adopted within the web 2.0 industry require LinkedWords.com to act quickly;
c) In regard to the innovativeness, uniqueness and highly proprietary nature of LinkedWords.com’s concept, idea & business model LinkedWords.com owners prefer not to comply with the reporting requirements by a public entity;
d) Technologically unique architecture of the 38-million-page large web 2.0 contextual platform;
e) Rapid growth in the traffic demonstrated over the past 5 months since its launch in June '06 calls for rapid decisions on a daily basis;
f) Obvious potential of rapidly becoming a mainstream popular web site needs sensitively strategic movements, decisions and implementations, which only a private structure can offer; g) The Web 2.0 industry’s nature, trends, expansion models and beyond; andh) Only few companies from the Web 2.0 age are publicly traded in the first years of their existence.

Both companies, however, decided to further keep exploring options for a possiblecross participation in the future, mutually beneficial to both parties.

“We in EXIM Internet Group, Inc. respect the decision of LinkedWords.com shareholders, and look forward to potentially find a way for some form of reciprocal participation,” said EXIM’s CEO. “The shareholders and the management of our company, which is a major and well-known b2b web site operator within the international trading and import / export industry, will now continue to concentrate on its core corporate strategy to retain the leading position in this growing world market of international trade.”

LinkedWords.com vs. Trackbacks, Link Exchange and Contextual Ad Networks

It seems the popular blog’s track backs technique, the old link exchange programs and the trendy contextual ad networks are having a new and, as it seems, better equivalent/alternative called LinkedWords.com, which is 38-million-page size web 2.0-based contextual platform. Here people do contextual linking of English words, phrases and whole sentences within the context of the content and in return the linked area gets contextual listing at LinkedWords.com with contextual link back to the page where the contextually linked words reside on… It can successfully be used on every type of content page from forums and blogs to static or dynamically generated web pages… two way of contextuality!

LinkedWords.com - grammatical, meaningful and contextual linking

http://linkedwords.com/ is a new approach to finding and managing information on the web entirely based on grammatical, meaningful and contextual basis.

It represents a unique concept developed upon an innovative, WEB 2.0-like, web-based contextual platform, which generally intends to help both the common web users by providing them with contextually relevant web information on demand, anywhere on the web and the web publishers on the other side by helping them appear on contextually incorporated linked words within the context of the content found on documents and pages around the world wide web.

Unlike many popular contextual advertising networks meant for paying advertisers and vendors only, LinkedWords is freely open for all type and size of websites and is not showing java-based contextual ads based on the context of a given page.

Instead of showing ads, it provides contextually precise web information only when significant interest is demonstrated by the web user and namely upon clicking on the linked words, this way avoiding the mouse over pop-up messages.

Currently the platform has more than 30,000,000 and growing unique keywords, key phrases and sentences based pages and categories related to every topic possible on the life, which you can use to get contextually linked with.

Initially being invented by Oleg Lazarov, part of Intelum, a private entrepreneurial group of e-business brainstormers and inventors since 1995, it now has PR and marketing offices located in Mountain View, California and is part of the publicly traded company EXIM Internet Group, Inc. (OTC:EXGN), which also maintains an IT center in Europe.

The project is known to have been started out back in 2000 with an extensive R&D over the internet, while the site is online in alpha testing since the end of 2004. The contextual platform is now fully functional and in beta version on the web since June 2006.

The project’s goal and mission is to grammatically, meaningfully and contextually hyperlink millions of words, phrases and sentences across web pages, web-based documents and content areas available on the web, which is believed to result in much simpler way to find and manage the information on the web, which by itself is expected to be beneficial to both sides of the web, the common web users and the web publishers respectively.
